My name is Maria, I’m a UX/UI designer and frontend developer who loves brainstorming and problem-solving to bring clients ideas to life.
I believe great design starts with understanding people, which I genuinely enjoy. No two people will ever be the same, so it is a never-ending process, which makes this journey a never-ending puzzle that is fun to solve.
I understand that not everyone agrees with this statement, but one of my favorite parts of my job is actually the interactions with clients. I love hearing their ideas, brainstorming with them, and seeing their face brighten when they see a solution they loved. Empathy and creativity are two of my strengths that I think make me ideal for this role, which is part of why I enjoy it so much!
I have experience in both UX/UI design and frontend development, and although I am currently searching only for UX/UI positions, I believe the frontend background is a great strength to my role. It helps me to design more realistic solutions without giving false hope to clients or massive headaches to the developers on my team, and it also helps me to communicate better with them, and to better document the designs in a way they will appreciate.
Now, if you're thinking "Fine, enough about work already", I'm happy to tell you too! Outside of work, I love you’ll find me painting, playing or making video games, reading a book, or trying new hobbies like clay figurines and book binding. I love art that makes people feel something — happy, sad, cozy, nostalgic, or just understood. And between painting and games, I'm not sure which has the most potential for it, but I think they are very close in what they can represent or make you feel, but I am sure both are my favorite kinds of art. I would love to work in a game development team that thinks like this one day.
